Every active is plant, mineral or ferment derived. Preservative is sodium benzoate, which is the mildest thing that will keep water-based formulas safe — a product with water in it and no preservative is not a virtue, it is a hazard.

Tremella holds more water per gram than hyaluronic acid does, and its molecules are smaller, so more of it gets into the strand instead of sitting on top. It was doing the job before the lab version existed.
